Wynn
A few months back I was in heaven. Why you ask. Because I got to stay at the Wynn for six nights straight. My husband attended a conference back in December. By the time we arrived, the least expensive room rate was $400 or so, but we had booked the hotel six months in advance and got the nightly rate at the obcene amount of $189 or so. Well, let’s just say that I’ve been spoiled for forever. I can never stay in a 4-star again. Having experienced a 5-star hotel room, nothing can ever be the same again. No more Motel 6 for me. The Mirage will never be good enough for me again. Well, perhaps I can endure it for a few nights if I must. Makes me wonder what it would be like staying at that 7 star hotel in Dubai.
I love the Wynn. I love the restaurants there, especially Red 8, Corso Cucina and Wing Lei. I love the shops. Dior, here I come. I love to gamble there. I love the spa. I love the pool. I love the rooms. The tall ceilings, the huge windows. The automatic blinds and drapes that can be operated from the bed. The huge bathrooms with a seperate room for the toilet. The deep tub and the TV you can watch while taking a shower or bath or putting on make-up. The beds with the comfy sheets and light down comforters. The slippers and the bathrobes. The TV that can display beautiful still images of a flower field. The view over the huge golf-course and the mountains in the distance. I love it all. The love the sanctuary of the room when there is need for a little piece and quiet after all that fun that can be had in the restaurants, the bars, the casino and the shops.
By the way, there are a few amazing coffee shops at the Wynn. The food doesn’t have to cost you an arm and a leg. One is by the casino and they serve the best croissants there. Flaky and buttery just like in France. No exaggeration. The other is the coffee shop that is called Sugar and Ice. It is located by the shops and from there you can watch the waterfall outside while you sip coffee and have a light snack. That one has amazing decor.
I love the Wynn hotel and although I doubt we can afford to stay there next time we are in Vegas I can always dream. We did go there for Chinese New Year. Wynn had a special and I was in heaven once more.
