I Wish I Could Afford This Car!
Now, that I’m car-shopping, I came across the Mercedes G-500. It is perfect, except for the price. Even a 5 year old car of this brand and model is retailing nearly $50,000. My husband asked a dealer about it. Apperantly, very few are released each year. It is kind of a collector’s item. It looks so cool. I parked next to one today at the mall, and peeked in through the windows. Hopefully, I didn’t leave any smudgy fingermarks. Well, this is my favorite car besides the Range Rovers. I love the Mini too. I like cars with personalities. We need a car with lots of room. A car that we can take up to the snow (I don’t see the Mini doing too well there.) A car that isn’t expensive to repair. And a car that looks really cool. Oh, and the price has to be reasonable. Less than $30,000. Don’t mind a used car. In some ways those are better. Then I don’t have to worry about the first scratch etc. Any ideas, anyone?

I highly recomend you buy something inexpensive and cheap to repair. My I suggest a ford pickup truck?
Ford Pickup Truck! Bah! I have to travel in style.

Since you likely won’t get this Mercedes, with a positive spin I will say Mercedes isn’t what it once was. They break down a lot. If you want a Mercedes, get an older one. Of course repairs for any of these types of cars will be a lot, and probably best to avoid.
I recommend a Volvo, perhaps a lease back with low mileage, under warranty, certified, like new, but less expensive. Volvos tend to run and run and run, and of course would not shy away from cold weather. They have the small SUV, the XC 90 I think it’s called, so you might want to check into that.
MINI is a wonderful car, made by BMW, but not a lot of space in it for winter wear, skis and so forth, and once out of warranty you will have BMW prices for repairs. On the plus side, BMWs and MINIs rarely break down.
Good luck, and RIP to your old car.
