Chinois

This may be one of my favorite new restaurants. Went there this past weekend with a large group of people. We ordered family style so we got to try a nice variety of entrees. The food is Asian Fusion. The best item that I tried was actually one of the appetizers. Fried basil leafs that were lightly salted. It tasted like french fries. Almost every item I tried was very good. Another nice treat were the Mojitos I had (notice the plural.) My husband is now referring to Mojito Math. That is the math I able to compute after a few glasses of my favorite drink. I.e. $50+$50+$23=$73. I will hear that one for a while. Hip crowd, beautiful decor, good food, and great drinks. I’m definitely going back to Chinois.

P.S. There is valet parking in the rear of the restaurant. $5 which I imagine is a bargain in Santa Monica considering the crowded street outside.
