The Big Score

I won’t say exactly where we ate tonight, but boy did we score! We tend to be pretty nice customers, and make good friends with waiters and management. This often leads to a free dessert, or maybe the drinks taken off the bill.

Tonight it went a step further. First off the food was just great. The waitress either inadvertently or on purpose failed to charge us for one of our items. The food by the way was way discounted due to the early bird special. This was by no means cheap food, it was absolutely top notch.

We told the waitress about it. Just in case it was not a gift and was a mistake, we do not want to steal from the restaurant obviously. The waitress was all smiles and said not to worry about it. We were very happy needless to say.

Then one of the managers came by and told us that she had started a catering business for the restaurant. She then gave us a stack of 6 coupons, each one good for a free dessert. We were already way too stuffed so we kept them for later. Believe me we will take advantage of them.

So thank you to all of the waiters, waitresses, managers, owners and the like who gave a free snack now and then. We owe you, and will pay it forward to someone else!
